Men's Ministry

If you see a handful of men in bright yellow polo shirts, you have encountered the Men in Mission group hosted by American Lutheran Church.  2016 kicks of the 12th year for this group that meets weekly for food, fellowship, enrichment, and service.  Weekly meetings are held at the 4th Street Cafe Restaurant, Saturday mornings from 7:30 to 9:00 AM

Service Projects  
 - Handy Helpers is our outreach to seniors, with gutter cleaning, minor plumbing, electrical, &
   woodworking, installing grab bars, install & remove Christmas lights, & furniture moving
 - Habitat for Humanity we assisted with several build projects in both Woodland and surrounding
 - Lutheran Outdoor Ministries camp preparation weekend
 - Hosted a Tour de Cure team for 6 years
 - National cemetery in Dixon Wreaths Across America event
 - 20+ themed studies from the Master Builder Bible including: Accountability, discipline, spiritual
    basics, gifts & calling, caregivers, and more
 - Book studies including: The Man in the Mirror, 40 Days of Purpose, Coming of Age, Making Sense
    of the Cross
 - Video Studies using the 24 video Nooma series by Rob Bell
 - Some unique studies like the Gospel according to Thomas, using the Five Gospels Parallel projected
    on the walls in a public restaurant. 
 - Group night at the Rivercats
 - Valentine Dinner for the women at American Lutheran Church
 - Ecumenical Easter Breakfast
