Who are we?

Welcome to Your Church: American Lutheran Church of Woodland.  We are so glad you found us and hope you are delighted with the information about our ministries!

We are a member of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and belong to the Woodland Ecumenical Ministry.

We believe in a Triune God, whose grace for us makes us whole through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We believe that we are forgiven, loved and never alone - no matter what we have done or will do.  God loves us too much to leave us.  He loves us just the way we are - but doesn't want to leave us that way.  He encourages us to grow in discipleship to proclaim "He is Risen" with confidence to a lonely, hurting world.

Come to worship on Sundays.  We are a liturgical church that uses contemporary sound and media.  We welcome all ages and nursery is available during service.  We love babies and all God's children of every age! (The young in heart included!)

We practice open communion and welcome everyone who believes in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ to partake in the life-giving body and blood of our Savior.

Sunday School, educational classes, fellowship groups and activities are open to all.  We hope you join in the fun!
